The heat is subtle. It wins you over bite by bite, until you have finished them all. This cookie will always leave you smiling.

So what makes this enticing combination so appealing and why is it smokey? This chili is thick skinned and has been smoked as a method of preservation since the the time of the Aztecs. This smokey preparation continues today. For this preparation, we have chosen a cocoa that leans more toward the savory side to complement this wood fired flavor profile.

I ordered these on a whim as I had just been looking at the chips when I saw that this site also had some specialty cookies, and I couldn't be happier that I did!

These cookies are fantastic, and offer just the right amount of heat to balance the chocolate/sweet. They are marketed as before dinner cookies (which I am sure would be fantastic with a white chocolate martini) but I have been eating these after dinner with a little dish of vanilla ice cream.

However you have these, you need to have these now! I know I'll be trying some of the others they have available based on how great these are.

Surprisingly Good

I was not too sure about having a chocolate and chipotle cookie but I liked the tin. I figured I’d get it and maybe give the cookies to my brother and my nephew since they love things with a little spicy flavor to them. I took one of the sleeves to my brother and had him try it first. Right away he ate two cookies one after the other. I decided to try one and it was pretty good. The spice kicked in at the end of chewing but it was not a spice that was hard to handle. My nephew had one and also liked it. I decided to keep the other sleeve for myself.
