Very Vegan

While I was recovering from an injury and not able to access my own kitchen I had to fend off non-vegans from finishing off my favorite items in this gift box, and I was only minimally successful. This collection felt completely appreciative to me: non-preachy, well presented, celebratory and delicious. I loved that savory snacks were included among the sweets, and the tins are gorgeous! It really brightened my convalescence.

I have given out several versions of the Bite Society gifts baskets, including this version, and everyone always comments that it is so nice to get something other than the usual candy, fruit, etc, and love it all the more that it's from Seattle.

Corporate gifting is hard. It's hard to find a good product mix and also be sensitive to different dietary restrictions. I was given this basket by my colleagues, as a congratulatory gift after I defended my dissertation. It was amazing- vegan or not, this would be a great gift for anyone. I was already a fan of chile crunch, so an even better small batch was well appreciated, and the spicy carrots (spiced pickled carrots are called zanahorias where I'm from) were tasty. This was seriously the best gift basket I ever received, and everything was good. After careful negotiations, my kids carefully staked claims on the awesome tins and jars even before they were opened.

I have been a vegetarian for close to 40 years. This basket is my new go-to when I want to send a gift to my vegan friends or just about anyone! There is so much goodness packed inside this basket! My personal favorites are Salsa Macha and Bob's Nuts....but who doesn't love a good nut snack? And I feel good sending something that contains so much that can be repurposed long after the food has been devoured. My cat loves the felt basket, and I reuse the tins when I buy items in bulk at the grocery store.
